Learning to be in relationship with Healing
is much like being in a relationship with a lover.
You first get to know its mind and its processes
while learning to listen and see,
and learning to be heard and seen.
Then comes
That embodied feeling:
Coming,
Going,
Deeper,
deeper,
deeper still,
Again and again,
Until friction causes
an explosion of union into new life.
There will be times you stay,
and times you leave.
Times for reunions and
lovingly making up, again and again.
There will be days when nothing moves,
The clock stops giving guidance and
lovesickness comes to visit instead
bringing only feverish and sleepless nights
without dreams.
Cries will only be answered with silence,
And chasms feel like an empty outer space
Where no god can reach you.
And yet, there will be love.
Consuming, passionate, clinging, affectionate
Love.
Poetry and melodies,
with red burning hearts
bursting into stars.
Like sticky tree sap on your hands
That you cannot remove.
It leaves its mark on you
So you will not forget.
Times when joy and liberation
and a deep knowing
come in like a tornado,
lifting the foundation of yourself
and move you to a new place.
